A Little White Lie

So, basically, I may have told a little lie (Kat here). So, Tempy and I have both told you that we go to school at Wannabe Middle School. Well, and this is really hard to say, we don't. Tempy and I have agreed to tell you guys the truth, and give up on our little white lie. (I'm pretty sure it is white). So anyway, it's time for you guys to know the truth about TempyKat.

The truth is that.......................we are actually both in our late twenties. (I am still younger, Tempy is 28 and I'm 27. She will be 40 before me! :P) The main reason that  we decided to let our act down is because...............brace yourselves................you might want to sit down......................KAT IS GETTING MARRIED! That's right folks, I am engaged. :) (To Gungan, obvs.) We are getting married on October 11th, which is actually also our anniversary of dating. We thought that it would be extra romantic. <3

So yeah. We are older than you thought. But where else could such comic genius come from? Certainly not from an inexperienced middle schooler. So that's all folks, we are in our late 20's (almost 30's. Ouch) and yeah. I mean, what else can I say other than that? We are old. Sorry if our wrinkles disturb you or haunt you for the rest of your life. Truly, I am very sorry. Bye for now!

Also, I hope that you didn't pass out or anything. That would be bad. I could not live with the fact that our age caused someone physical pain. :(

Love,

  (almost) Mrs. Gungan

P.S.
April Fool's, suckers!!!!! Or in French, Bon l'avril poisson!

The Awkwardness of Haricuts

Hey, Kat here. What's up guys? Haven't heard from me in a while, eh? Well, I'm back. And I'm here to talk about one of the most awkward situations out there: the haircut. There are so many awkward stages to a haircut, and I'm going to walk you through each and every one.

First, there is the time when you get there. The lady/guy makes you sing your name and such, right? Well, when you finally get to it being your turn and you walk to the chair, you have to tell the stylist what you want to do with your hair. This is very awkward because you don't really know how to explain what you want. And then the stylist will try to communicate an idea to you but you don't really know what they are talking about because they use technical terms. So then you just agree and hope you don't end up with your hair looking like this:

Then there is the shampooing. You have to awkwardly lean your head back into a sink. Not too bad, right? Well, then you are sitting there while a stranger washes your hair and essentially massages your head. And all the while you don't know where to look so you just look up. And that will often result in some weird eye contact. And of course, at some point they will reach over you, and their armpit will be, yes, in your face.

The next stage is haircut itself. While your hair is being clipped up so that you look like this:

Anyway, you are just sitting there and don't know what your facial expression should be. Occasionally you will make a face at yourself in the mirror, and you will sometimes try to find a pleasant but not overly creepy smile. At this point, somebody, whether it be the stylist or someone else getting their hair cut, will have seen these strange experimental facial expressions. (Such as this one):

Then, of course, there is the getting up stage. Depending on how much you changed your hair, you could have been in that chair for a really long time not moving. So when you get up, you are wobbly and it's like in the 30 so minutes you were in that chair, your brain completely forgot how to walk and even what the word walk means. And when you stand up, the hair slides off of your "cape" and you wonder if that grosses anyone out. You then decide you don't care. But then you see all of your hair on the floor and that uncertainty reappears. Thanks, hair.

However, even with all the awkwardness of haircuts, it is still a great experience. The people who work there are always so nice, and you walk out of there feeling confident and good looking. So in the end, thanks to all you cosmetologists out there for all that you do.

~Kat.

*Also, did I mention the fear that if you move your head one tiny bit you could end up looking like this:

That is a legit fear. Like, totes ma goats, that causes some serious anxiety.

A New Smile for a New Year

So. Hello. Gosh, I feel bad. These posts have been  flat out pathetic. I mean pathetic. At least we have posted. It could have been worse guys. There could have been no posts these last few weeks. Uoi guys need to stop being so needy and greedy. Let's get down to business.

(By the way, this is Kat narrating today).

Your loyal Tempy has kept you updated with the newest news in our happy little la la land of a world. So this post is going to be a post that IS NOT ABOUT UPDATES. So if you are looking for that kind of a post, you had better leave now and check back later. Maybe I'll make an update post eventually. Maybe not. I don't care. Also, I never remember what I was going to tell you guys last time. All I know is that is was important enough to blog about. And then I forgot. Yay me!

The meat of the post has arrived. Let's begin. Wait, 1 thing real quick. Due to extremely cold temperatures for where we live, Wannabe Middle School has a two hour delay tomorrow. I  get to sleep in! Before I get distracted again, I'm going to start telling the story:

Okay. Well, maybe you know this, maybe you don't. I don't know anymore. I'm getting to old for this. One sec, gotta go clean my gosh darn dentures. Just kidding. Anyway, I have braces. Or did, anyway. That's right, today I got my braces, which I have had for two years, taken off. And then I went to the dentist, so I got to miss school. But yeah. My braces are gone. I now have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth, and on my upper teeth, I have a removable retainer that I have to wear night and day for two months, and after that only at night for the rest of my life. I will always have a retainer. For ever.

So that's the story. I hope you guys had a happy new year! I want to thank all of you!*

 Smile bright,
   Kat

*Except you, lady at the grocery store who wouldn't give me one of the free cookies they have for free just because my mom wasn't with me at the time, she was getting bread in the bread aisle, even though I am fairly sure that I looked rather mature at that moment in time, and I hope you know that not getting my free cookie made me cry. You ma'am, are a meanie.

Aaaaaaannnnd Of Course, I Forgot What I Was Going to Say

So. Hello. This isn't't really a post, just something I wanted to say. Alaskans now I forgot what I was going to say. Uuummmm... . Yeah, I don't know. Well I got a kindle fire. I'm typing from that kindle fire. Winter break is almost over. And oh yeah.... Christmas is tomorrow! I seriously can't remember what it was I was going to say. I will tell you guys when I remember.                                                                                                                                            Love, Kat.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      P.s. Dead Smarties

Hiya, butterflies. What's up? Kat is back. Sorry it has been such a long time since we posted. I am a lazy slacker. :P Take now, for example. I am sitting in my bed, in my pajamas, eating smarties, and it is 12:00 pm. Impressed yet? Anyway, we have done lots of fun things recently, so there is a possibility this will be a looooong post.

First of all, we are on winter break! Our last day was Friday! I am loving getting to sleep and eat whenever I feel like  I need too and staying in jammies,.... Winter break is cool guys, it's cool.

Next, we took exams all last week. Tempy got a 95 on her Geometry exam, and I got a 90! Yay us! And in our SS classes, we watched "The Patriot". It was sad.

Boo. My smarties are all gone. They are dead.

We exchanged Christmas presents last week. I got lots of great gifts, and I gave out some pretty beast gifts.

Now I'm eating a tootsie roll. Heaven help me. Speaking of chewy stuff, my braces are coming off January 6th! Holy Moley! I'm so nervously excited!!!

Friday night was Birdsong's birthday party. Let's just say it was crazy awesome. Tempy can tell you all about it later. Greek, Crayon, a friend named Tatiana (pseudonym), and obviously us and Birdsong were there. Birdsong's birthday is tomorrow, so wish her a happy birthday!

Sunday I went to my cousin's family birthday dinner. It was fun. And loud. And there was Mellow Mushroom pizza. I swear when I found out that little tidbit, I almost died.

Last night, we, along with German, Gungan, Peacock, and Birdsong, went to our friend Crayon's house for a "Murder Mystery Dinner Party" for his birthday. It was fun, and crazy, and loud, and we all talked and hung out for a looong time. German was acting like he was drunk, and it made him semi-nice for once. The party was awesome, but I won't tell you who was killed by who........

Looking ahead:
Today: I am going to my grandma's house and my cousins and I are going to bake Christmas cookies all day.
Thursday: My other grandma is going to Cali for Christmas, so we are celebrating Christmas with her that day.
Sunday: Going to my other grandparents' house for Christmas with them.
Monday: Going to a holiday light show.
Tuesday: Squirming around full of anticipation.
Wednesday: CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

That's all for now, folks. Have a lovely day and rest of your life, and hope for my sake that I will decorate gorgeous cookies!

Happy lives,
 Kat

P.S.
Last night Gungan gave me my Christmas present. It has millions of Hershey Kisses, a movie gift card,  a polar bear Pez dispenser, and.... a huge bad of assorted Lindt Lindor Chocolate Truffles. He is so sweet! :)

Dramabum!!!!

Salutations friends! No post in a while, sorry. That's my fault! But at least Kat didn't have to remind me to make a post (i bet you can guess who the most structured and organized person in our group is). Let it be known that I am Tempy and that my space key is a little loose so pardon me if this gets a bit hard to read.

I know updates are boring but that's about all I got for you(and quit your moanin and groanin... wimp.):

  1. Birdsong and her now ex-boyfriend German are now officially separated :(, it's ok. German is a jerk. Sometimes he's ok but if you ask me he spent too much time with the The Mantis Shrimp and started to turn into a Cuttlefish.
  2. German's birthday was December 6th.
  3. Birdsong is having a birthday on December 19th but her party is FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH *DUN DUN DUN* and a lot of our friends are invited!
  4. Our potatoes are having "mini christmas" tomorrow and are givin out cute little gifts!
  5. I got mad at Falcon because he got me an expensive gift :P which is the exact reason I broke up with him last year. To be totally honest history almost repeated itself.
  6. This week is Exam week and I am tired ofthis stupidity.
  7. We get out of school for winter break this Friday!
  8. Oooh I gave Falcon a kiss... a chocolate one. Those things are so freaking delicious!
  9. I now get tosit with Gungan, Birdsong, Some chick who is in french class with me, Falcon, Yakob, B-daybuddy, and a fellow Iron Maniac at lunch!
  10. I also wrote a vignette about the orchestra room for mr.m's class! It is heartfelt but a little rough.
Gotta go! Sorry this was so short but my hair has been a frizzy, puffy wreck lately and hopefully that will change in just a few minutes, but probs not.

Love ya! Tempy!

P.S. ASK KAT ABOUT HER BRACES!!!!!
